Inspirational and Motivational Speakers
The need to take up a pen on any subject occurs when the positive or negative effects related to that subject intensify. Recently, when a well-known motivational speaker of Pakistan, Qasim Ali Shah Sahib, heard this statement based on a misunderstanding that the first book to be written on the subject of "Helping Yourself" was Napoleon Hill's "Think and "Get Rich", which was published in 1937, is not true.
But this statement of his definitely proved that the knowledge of those who adopt or are influenced by this field of motivational speaking is very limited. So now this thing of Shah Sahib forced me to write this article, because he realized that the motivational speaker of Pakistan himself is not aware of the reality of this path, but he is not only walking on this path. , but are pushing others on this path towards an "unseen disaster".
And of course, most motivational speakers themselves are unaware of the impact that this sector has on society. The flood of ladinism that has swept the West over the past 150 years has been largely due to self-help books and motivational speakers who preach the principles of these books, which have led to immediate material success. Proving real success, focusing only on personal success and eliminating the concept of God has played an important role in bringing people towards ladinism and materialism.
The approach adopted by the promoters of Ladinism was very simple and very effective and deadly. For this, distance was first created between the people and the religious leaders in various ways, then they were further distanced from their religious leaders by impressing them with the complexity of modern issues.
Keep in mind that we are not talking about Islam or Muslims here, but about all religions, because these books and people have influenced all religions that have the concept of God.
Then, to fill the spiritual vacuum created by missing the concept of God, these "self-development books" and "motivational speakers" were resorted to, which later became a temptation. When people of almost every religion began to evaluate their religious beliefs and teachings based on the ideas that came to them through these books of "hypothesis-based science" and the speeches of motivational speakers.
In this regard, the interpretation of success given by religion was completely changed by giving examples of many rich people in the name of considering individual success as the real success.
You've also noticed that wherever success is mentioned in wisdom-filled speeches by motivational speakers, they usually cite examples of people who were very wealthy and spent their lives making money, and When they are asked the truth, whether making money and becoming rich is the real success?
So motivational speakers take an escape route by saying that everyone has a different interpretation of success, like being famous is success, being rich is success, and being good and pious is success.
Now if we talk again about the claim of Shah Sahib and many other motivational speakers that the first book written on the subject of "help yourself" was Napoleon Hill's "Think and Rich Hojao" which was published in 1937. happened While according to our research, this book is also an excellent example of "literary plagiarism". So, to go into the details of this topic, maybe we should start talking
A. Prentice Mulford's 1888 book "Your Energies and How to Use Them?"
b. The book "Ideas are objects" published in 1889
The original inventor of ``Law Up Attraction'' is Parhurst Coimby Panies
While Shah Sahib probably spoke of the twentieth century. (That is, books were written on this topic about fifty years before Napoleon Hill's book) So we are only talking about the twentieth century, so it is 34 years since Napoleon Hill's "Think and Grow Rich". First, in 1903, James Allen's book was published under the name of "As Man Thinks". (But the list of James Allen's original works is much longer.) And after "James Allen" the next big name to appear in the early twentieth century is that of "Wallace Delos Wattles," who called himself Wrote two important books on the subject of development, which were perhaps deliberately withdrawn from the limelight over time, largely because of the laws of nature described in these short and concise books which were mundane. Success has been described in different ways in almost all religions.
The reason for the disappearance of these books from the public view may be that if these books were widely available, then the book business of Hud ki Dihad Karo and the shops of motivational speakers would not be able to function, but we consider these concerns more important. I don't understand, because there is no special role of motivational speakers in the society of that time. But in fact, there were two major reasons for the disappearance of these books from the public scene: First, the expected damage to the preachers of Ladinism from the publication of these books was that if these books are read by the right teacher, then the human The connection with the concept of God could have been stronger. (But when the ideas of the same books were given into the wrong hands, the same ideas could become a source of alienation from the concept of God).
And the second major damage that would have been caused by the publication of these books, would have been to the capitalist system. Well, without going into the details of these pitfalls, we come back to our topic, so the first book of "Wallace Delos Wattles" in 1907, "How to Get What You Want?"
And the second book is "The Science of Getting Rich" which came out in 1910. And Wallace Delos Wattles died in 1911, the year after this book was published. It is also worth remembering that it was this last book by Wallace Delos Wattles that described the New Thought Moment's theory of the Law of Attraction so well that it went on. Influenced the lives of thousands of people, even the main reason behind the writing of Rhondaburn's book, "A Secret", was the last book by Wallace Delos Wattles, "The Science of Getting Rich". ' was made and in Stephen Covey's book 'Seven Habits of Successful People', the ideas of the same book have also been put into practice.
It is also worth mentioning here that our "Islamic Academy of Communication Arts" developed a complete course a few years ago after translating the book "How to Get What You Want" by Wallace Delos Wattles. He also released a course based on the Urdu summary of Stephen Covey's book, Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. But due to the sensitivity of the subject, we have stopped advertising and general sale of this course, as this subject deserves to be taught in a live session by a "faithful teacher", in a way that Even later, the guidance of the teacher should be available, otherwise there will be the same damage that has been done by these books in the West, that is, the promotion of ladinism.
Now, after the death of Wallace Delos Wattles in 1911, the story begins of this person who can be considered as the leader or imam of today's motivational speakers, this is the same person who was mentioned by Qasim Ali Shah, who Due to the need to write this article. But we have already mentioned above that according to our research, he has been guilty of "plagiarism" in the case of his famous books, that is, he has been writing his own books by taking material from other people's books and attributing them to himself. The man's real name was Oliver Napoleon Hill, but is commonly known simply as Napoleon Hill. Most people think of this man's fame only because of his one book, Think and Grow Rich, which was published in 1937, while twelve years before this book was published, he wrote another book called It was called "The Law of Success in 16 Lessons". The main topic here is not Napoleon Hill, so I don't feel it necessary to mention Napoleon's many failed business ventures and many cases of cheating and fraud, you can research it yourself if you want. Suffice it to say here that a reading of Napoleon Hill's books reveals that he learned a lot from New Thought Moment, K, Law of Attraction, and "Prentice Mulford, James Allen, Wallace Delos Wattles." ', the books mentioned above had also passed through his eyes at some point, using all of which he started writing his books.
But he ascribed all his information (which he had obtained from these books) to a fictitious research, which he said he had carried out for about twenty years at the behest of "Andrew Kinreige." I had completed, for which there is no documentary evidence, and this claim also came out after Carnegie's death, it was only known that in 1922, in a fire in a store in Chicago, all those documentary evidences were destroyed. were lost, which showed that Napoleon had any contact with famous rich people, that is, all that research was lost about 15 years before this book "Think and Grow Rich" was written. Now if any Even if such twenty years of research had been done, it was now only in the form of memories in Napoleon's mind and not in the form of any writing. Nor did he try to save the information contained in these investigative documents from his memory and put it in written form.
But another question arises on the claim of this research because seven years before 1922, i.e. in 1915, Napoleon founded the "George Washington Institute of Advertising" in Chicago, where he "success and self- Intended to teach principles of trust.
Now, how is it possible that a book based on 20 years of research, Think and Grow Rich, was published in 1937, when Napoleon was in a position to teach the same subject 22 years earlier.
"It is clear that these were not ideas based on his own research, but ideas learned from elsewhere." By reading Kar and his books, it can be clearly understood that his thinking and thought are also based on the same ideas, which have been discussed in the books mentioned above, and all this is based on the theory of New Thought Moment, "Attraction". It was only on the law of
Napoleon ends Hill's story here and skips the mention of many other books and goes straight to Stephen Covey's book "Seven Habits of Successful People" and mentions this book and some of its background. Most of the motivational speakers of the Indian sub-continent live on this alone. Stephen R. Covey, the author of this book, has mentioned seven important habits of the world's most successful people in his book. Like other self-help books, the length of this book also hinders people from reading it, taking advantage of which, many motivational speakers mention the teachings of this book in their speeches and people find their words full of wisdom. Can't help but be impressed by understanding. They think that these words of wisdom that these people are saying are probably their own. I have popularized dualism and played a key role in leading people away from the concept of God.' Stephen R. Covey's thinking and thought were heavily influenced by the self-help books he had already read (mentioned above) and the teachings of Call Ransom Roger, but although Given the importance of Stephen Arcoway's book to the motivational speaking industry, this small point about being inspired by the ideas of "Carl Ransom Rogers" is actually a very dangerous point.
Call Ransom Roger's "Theory of the Self" is already considered humanist, which, on a deeper reading, reveals that what a man does is what makes him his destiny. , while there is no concept of God. And these and other such ideas have led to the disappearance of the concept of God in Western society due to self-help books and the motivational speaking industry.
Those who have been turned away from religion by the atmosphere of ladinism in educational institutions, the influence of the media, and self-help books, have used these ideas to fill the gaps in their conception of God. They are satisfied with their godlessness. Now, the most dangerous for us as Muslims at this time are those who are mixing religious terms and references from Quran and Hadith with the same ideas and presenting them to the people. They look like our sympathizers in seeing and hearing, but usually their thoughts and concerns are also imprisoned in the confines of materialism. They also seem to describe the ideas of individuality in a different way while describing the importance of success. And at the same time, they deceive the listeners by resorting to the Qur'an and Hadith. The matter of concern is that now these people have gained access to our religious schools, mosques, government and non-government institutions, schools, colleges, universities and even sensitive institutions in different forms. In every field they are articulating these ideals which will further promote selfishness, materialism and ladinism.
After looking at all these books and reading the theories carefully, I can swear that the light of knowledge that Allah Almighty has given us through the Qur'an and Hadith is about achieving success in this world and the hereafter. It is many times more powerful than these ideas and a source of good and blessing for the whole world and is more popular with Allah, the Most High.
In the end, I request people to learn the principles and rules of living for the well-being of themselves and their future generations from the Qur'an and Hadith, and not from books that may contain good, but within them. The existing evil is many times more than the good, as today very valuable medicines are made from scorpion venom, but this venom is enough to kill ordinary people.
