Arif Bullah Hazrat Dr. Muhammad Abdul Hai Siddiqui Noorullah Markada was called Hazrat Arif because of his poetic nickname and mystic speech. Majid's father's name was Grami Ali Abbas Siddiqui. Hazrat Arifi was born on the 8th of Muharram Al-Haram 1316 AH (June 1898) at Kadura in Bawani State (UP, India). His mother died in his childhood and he was brought up in the loving care of his grandfather and grandmother. His family was illuminated by the light of saints and peacemakers. Dada Maulvi Kazim Hussain Sahib was a great scholar, Sahib Taseer Sahib and Maulana Shah Abul Khair Sahib Majdadi. Daadi Sahib was the daughter of Nader Hussain Sahib, a senior secretary of UP. Munshi Nader Hussain Sahib was blessed by God Almighty with worldly and academic knowledge as well as religious and spiritual blessings. He was among the uncles of the late Nawab Mohsin Mulk and the famous sage Hazrat Shah Ghulam Rasool Sahib was one of the caliphs of Kanpuri.
Religious and secular education
Hazrat Arifi finished the Holy Quran in 1905 at the age of seven years and after his primary education, the basic grammar and grammar of Arabic and Persian pedagogy were completed under the supervision and direct teaching of his grandfather. The grandson also acquired knowledge from the grandfather and got the taste of knowledge and the grandfather's heart immersed in the love of the truth instilled the same pain, love and pain in the veins of the grandson. When the basic religious skills were developed and the priority of religion was established in the heart and it became a tool to protect the faith, Jad Amjad started English education for earning in 1908. School education was done in Kanpur. Passed BA examination in 1924 from MAO College Aligarh. Then obtained his law degree from Lucknow University in 1926.
Frustration with English education
In spite of this education, Hazrat used to love English education and manners and love Sunnah. He was so disgusted with English schools that he himself sent his children home for primary education until matriculation. Even after sixty years, he used to describe the problem of giving English education to children from the beginning in Karachi's Majlis. He said in a meeting that when the child started studying by reading C from Cat and D from Dog, then now he will develop the characteristics of a dog and a cat. This incompetent heard this and after the meeting, he asked with some urgency, what did Hazrat do? do
The children have started education with this nonsense. Should they be taken out of school?
Hazrat said, "It is really something to think about!" And probably said something. God Almighty gave such grace that after a few months, the servant got a job in Makkah and the children were blessed with early education in Quran and Arabic language. The experience has always been that the solution to the problem presented in the service of Hazrat came from Allah.
Attorney and leave attorney
Hazrat Arifi studied law for a living. When this was reported to Hakim al-Ummat, Hakim al-Umat replied, "Can true faith and following the Sunnah be combined with the law?"
Hazrat Arifi wrote in response that "I am very saddened to know that I will be deprived of such a great happiness by studying law. I am very sorry that a precious part of my life has been spent in vain. I was not inclined towards it but a few incidents forced me against my will. On the question of taking up the profession of lawyer, Hakim al-Umat simply said this sentence: "It is better to be a lawyer than to be a lawyer." That is, it is better for you to try and leave the lawyer's profession than if the lawyer leaves you. . Hakim al-Umat had the wisdom that he should never have this confusion in his life that it would have been good if he had advocated. This would have been detrimental to the faith. At that time there was no other suitable form of livelihood. That is why Hazrat Arifi advocated in Hardoi district for ten years. Due to integrity, the position of receiver was given by the government, but due to incompatibility and lack of interest, and due to the cruelty of non-Muslim judges, this part of life was spent in severe difficulties, trials and debts, but under the guidance of Hakim al-Umat. This part of life became the source of self-purification. And finally, after receiving the guidance of Hakim al-Umat, he left the profession of lawyer in 1935 and became a lawyer and decided to practice homeopathic treatment for his livelihood, gained knowledge of it, learned the art from an experienced doctor and became a lawyer in this profession. Adopted for life and settled in Jaunpur. It was a big sacrifice.
Financial conditions and wealth
Hazrat Arifi remained in financial straits until 1971 and was in debt under compulsion. During this period, they used to spend so much in helping the good and the people of rights that Zakat was never obligatory, but they avoided extravagance and neglecting blessings. Once, Hazrat took this invalid with him from Daulat Kada. As soon as he entered the mutt, a servant started sweeping as usual. Hazrat said to the servant, "Look, there is a pin in the broom, pick it up." The servant lifted the shining iron pin. Part of this pin was also rusted. Hazrat kept the pin safely and said that it will come in handy in case of need. It seemed like a small thing, but it was a lifelong lesson in appreciating blessings.
An ideal marriage
During his studies, in December 1924, Hazrat was married to his maternal uncle's sister. Hazrat Arifi himself was fond of organizing the Sunnah and since the Almighty wanted to take the task from him to call people to the Almighty and for such a preaching, an outward and inward life according to the Sunnah is also necessary. Hazrat Arifi's marriage also took place in the mosque very simply according to the Sunnah. Hazrat took the visit to Moradabad alone, Hazrat's father did not go along to set an example of simplicity.
Hate marriage against Sunnah
Hazrat Arifi did not like marriages against the Sunnah and used to warn against extravagance in marriages, but sometimes he forcibly participated in such ceremonies out of fear of breaking the hearts of his relatives and special friends. Once one such anti-saint came back from a function. It was useless. As soon as Daulat reached the door of Kada, he said, "They take beggars from me." He repeated this sentence three times. Hazrat used to instruct every Talib Islah in marriage and in all matters of life to keep all their situations in accordance with Paradise. Why not warn? Hazrat quoted this objection in his assembly and said that such and such elders were saying this. The answer is why should I warn about this? Don't they have knowledge? Have they not been told to read Bihishti Zuwar and act? Hazrat had printed and distributed a leaflet (pamphlet) with the title: "The major sins of the modern age, which will not be saved from hell without abandoning them". And spending rupees on adornment is extravagance and a great sin.''
The word of truth before the President of Pakistan
In 1985, at the very humble request of the President of Pakistan and because of the President of Pakistan's relationship with the elders and people of Allah, Hazrat visited his daughter's marriage ceremony, so the President of Pakistan also performed the marriage in the mosque, depending on the mood of Hazrat. They arranged the ceremony by sitting on the floor and with complete simplicity and tried not to say anything against the Sunnah. But the people present were not religiously trained. Immediately after the marriage, there was a noise of blessing and the etiquette of the mosque was not observed. In this historical marriage, this was the opportunity to say the right word. Hazrat's position was Qutb-ul-Irshad of his time. Where could they stop at such a time? He spoke the truth without fear and hesitation in front of the President of the country and the big officials of the government. Taking the mike in his hand, he said boldly, "Don't we have enough respect for the house of God to stop making noise here?" Sorry, this is a big mistake on our part. We have done a lot of misbehavior. This noise is desecration of the mosque. We have sinned and this great omission has happened to us. My request to you is that all of you should seek forgiveness from Allah together. On this, with Hazrat, President Sahib and the entire congregation kept reciting Astaghfirullah. Instead of displeasing the President of Pakistan, as soon as he got up, he started pressing the feet of Hazrat.
Reformed relationship with Hakim al-Umat
Hazrat Arifi's relationship with Hakim al-Umat started from 1917. He used to write letters for supplications. From 1923, he started regular correctional correspondence. In 1927, Hakim al-Umat was present in the blessed service and got the blessing of allegiance. In 1935, immediately after the Turkish lawyer, Hakeem-ul-Umat gave him the permission of the caliphate. According to Arifi: "My relationship with Hazrat Wala lasted for seventeen years from the time I pledged allegiance to Hazrat until his death." During this period, I regularly submitted a petition for my situation every week. Alhamdulillah never failed in this." Hakeem-ul-Umat's training brought Hazrat Arifi's high morals to a strange height. According to Hazrat Baba Najam Ahsan Sahib, "The special attention of Hakeem-ul-Umat made Arifi inner. Jamal made Jamal, but Yusuf made Jamal.
Exemplary behavior from wife
One of the manifestations of this inner beauty was Hazrat Aar Fei's behavior towards his family, which no one can come close to even now. In his sixty years of married life, Hazrat never changed his tone of voice with his family and never asked them to do anything. This is the behavior which is the Sunnah. Therefore, when the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) came home from abroad and was hungry, he would not order to bring food, but would say, "Do you have anything to eat?" In the Qur'an and Hadith, it is very clear that wives are encouraged to be happy. Hazrat considered himself a servant and advised the seeker of reform to consider himself a servant of his wife and children.
Migration to Pakistan
In 1950, when Hazrat Arifi was 52 years old, he migrated from India and came to Karachi. Resumed practice based on his 15 years experience in India as a homeopathic doctor for a living in Karachi. And soon Hazrat Arifi's Matab became a center of physical and spiritual treatment from which thousands were cured. At the same time, the Monday and Friday reform statement meetings also started and this series also continued without delay for life.
Always look at the clock
One of the great characteristics of Hazrat was his constant eye on the clock. The schedule was strange. He used to pay his dues on time. At the end of his life, he used to suffer from poor eyesight or illness, but even then he used to get up according to his schedule. The first piece of advice written in the Book of Daily Routines is to make a stable schedule.
good mood
According to the Sunnah, there was a loving smile on Hazrat's face. They were just absorbing every reward of the Holy Prophet. Another great characteristic of Hazrat was his respect for the rights of his relatives and his love for them. More or less everyone understood that Hazrat wanted and paid attention to him the most. One day in a week was fixed for visiting relatives and every day Hazrat's door was open for relatives. In all the five areas of religion, i.e. beliefs, worship, affairs, society and morals, the observance of Sharia and Sunnah was such that happiness was the most prominent. It is as if the garment of Islamic law was worn by Hazrat to humanity. With charming cheerfulness, modesty and simplicity in his personality, this Qutb-ul-Ishaad of his time followed the Shariat himself with all perseverance and strength, and thousands became familiar with the reality of the Shariat and became followers of the Shariat.
But the truth from the tongue
Hazrat Arifi used to express the word of truth with a strangely impressive language. He would describe the subjects which were needed in the current situation. He used to speak frequently against current sins and especially against TV, radio, pictures, music, nakedness and mixing of men and women etc. It was such a way of explaining that the evils of sin would come to light, the sinners would get a ray of hope. Sahib Kashf Ahlul-Allah and most of the scholars and reformers had the prevailing opinion that Hazrat Arifi was the "pole of guidance".
The popularity of compilations
Hazrat Arifi's compilation "Aswa Rasool Akram (Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam)" gained extraordinary popularity all over the world. It has been translated into many languages and continues to be published countless times. Apart from this, Hazrat Arifi compiled eight very useful books to popularize the teachings of Hakeem-ul-Umat, among them, the commandments of the dead are also a strangely useful book. Muslims needed a book like this. It has also gained global popularity. Hazrat's short booklet "Daily routines and short curriculum for self-improvement" gained immense popularity among the masses. According to Arifi, "The legacy of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace," is a treasure and "daily routines" are its keys.
Jamle from the Almighty
Throughout his life, Hazrat continued to fulfill all his routines till the end, always taking care of concession rights and maintaining boundaries with a strange perseverance. And the people were engaged in the religious and worldly service of God. On Thursday 15th Rajab 1406 AH (March 27, 1986), he resigned from all his duties and responsibilities with the call of Fajr. May the Almighty bless them with His special mercy, forgive them from every small and big mistake and grant them the highest ranks in Paradise.
Amen, may God bless him and grant him peace
