The relationship of God's love with morality
The more a person is humble and humble in front of Allah Ta'ala and is afraid of Him, the more gentle, cheerful and moral his interaction with people is.
The Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, was the most fearing of Allah, the most pious and pious.
You people know that I am the most fearing of Allah, the most truthful and the most righteous (Sahih Bukhari: 7367, Sahih Muslim: 1216).
In the same way, Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Shukhair, may God be pleased with him, narrates: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, while he was praying, and because of his crying, a sound was coming from his chest like a mill running. Sunan Abi Dawood: 904 and authentic)
But in spite of this, his relationship with the people was so gentle and good-natured, as Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates.
After my acceptance of Islam, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) never forbade me (from his assembly) and whenever he saw me, he used to smile in front of me (Sahih al-Bukhari: 3035).
Sayyidna Mu'awiyah bin Haqm (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: "My parents are sacrificed for you, I have not seen such an excellent teacher before you, nor after you, by Allah! You did not scold me, nor did you beat me, nor did you speak ill of me (Sahih Muslim: 537).
On the authority of Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Harith, may God be pleased with him, he says
I have never seen anyone smile more than the Messenger of Allah
(Sunan al-Tirmidhi: 3641, and there is weakness in its chain of transmission, but there is evidence)
Hafiz Ibn Batal, may God have mercy on him (449 AH) says
Meeting people with a smile and a broad face is one of the morals of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, it removes arrogance and brings love (Sharh al-Bukhari: 5/193).
Hafiz Ibn Hibban, may God have mercy on him (354 AH) says
It is necessary for a wise person to turn people's hearts towards him with good nature and abandoning dry behavior.
Hafiz al-Zahbi (may God have mercy on him) (748 AH) says on the hadith of Syedna Jarir (may God be pleased with him).
This is the moral of Islam, the highest position is that the one who weeps the most at night (before Allah) is the one who smiles the most during the day (with people).

This was the behavior of the Companions (may Allah be pleased with them) as narrated by Samak bin Harb.
Said: Yes! Very. He would not rise from the place where he used to offer the morning prayer until the sun rose. When the sun rose, he would stand up. ) used to smile.

Bilal bin Saad, may God have mercy on him, narrates: "I have seen the Companions of the Prophet (may God be pleased with them) who used to shoot arrows and used to laugh and smile with each other, but when night fell, they would become monks." (That is to say, they would leave the world and engage in worship and prayer completely)
Abu Salama bin Abd al-Rahman narrates: “The Companions of the Holy Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, were not sad and dead-hearted. They used to recite poems in their gatherings and mention the events of the Jahiliyyah era, but when something was said to them against the religion of Allah, the pupils of their eyes would start rolling as if they were mad.

Bakr bin Abdullah narrates that "The Companions of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to throw melons at each other as a joke, but when it came to the facts (i.e., worship and jihad), they were real men."

It is related to Imam Muhammad bin Sirin Tabi, may God have mercy on him, that he used to laugh and smile with his friends and family, and used to cry and rumble well in front of Allah at night, as Mansur bin Zazan narrates, "Ibn Sirin May God have mercy on him, he used to laugh so much that his eyes watered.

The wife of Hisham bin Hassan, may God have mercy on him, narrates
We were staying as guests at the house of Imam Muhammad bin Sireen Tabi (may Allah have mercy on him), we used to hear him crying (before Allah) at night and laughing (with his family) during the day.
