Our land was full of cities and theaters thousands of years before the emergence of Rome, but they were attributed to the Romans who were taught the art of architecture by the Syrians.
Historical points that everyone should know
1. Rome itself came into existence in 753 BC, while cities were flourishing in our region in 3000 BC, 5000 BC, and even 12000 BC.
2. Unfortunately, the archaeological sites in our cities are attributed to Rome, even though these sites existed before Rome itself came into existence.
3. Western scholars invented a false historical perspective, according to which every building built before Christ was attributed to Roman civilization. This false perspective was adopted by the official and cultural circles of our countries out of ignorance, not intentionally.
4. Did you know that the Arab Canaanite civilization established its rule over the entire Mediterranean coast, and built cities, palaces, theaters, markets, and ports there, and all this was before the emergence of Rome?
5. Did you know that Rome itself was a military state, with no connection to art, engineering, or construction, and that it only became civilized when it conquered the Carthaginian Canaanite empire?
6. The Romans were based on destroying cities, they destroyed Carthage, Jerusalem and Gaza. Therefore, the idea of the Romans being builders and civilizers is false.
7. Did you know that the Syrian architect Apollodorus of Damascus taught the Romans the art of architecture, he taught them how to build bridges, columns and markets, and the Pantheon, which impressed the Romans the most, was built by him?
8. It is regrettable when the Umayyad Mosque, which was a temple of Jupiter and built by Apollodorus in Syria, and the fortress of Jabal al-Farid in Palestine, built by the Edomites, and Petra, built by the Nabataeans, are attributed to the Romans, although these are great monuments and their real founders are known. Therefore I am not surprised when even small monuments are attributed to the Romans.
9. When the Romans learned architecture from the Syrian architect Apollodorus of Damascus, the Roman emperor Hadrian had him killed, and the role of this great architect was erased, and his designs were adopted without any mention. This was a major reason why monuments built by the Romans were attributed to him.
10. It is unfortunate that clear and accurate criteria are not used in the registration of historical relics. In our countries, if a small jar is found, it is registered as a Canaanite artifact, and if large temples and cities are found, they are registered as Roman artifacts. This ignores the historical order and the great role of Canaanite civilization, and the relevant institutions have never used carbon dating to determine the history of constructions.
11. In addition, the Romans destroyed great cities like Carthage, Jerusalem, and Gaza, which means that their real goal was not construction but destruction.
12. The Romans were taught the art of building bridges and pillars by the Syrian architect Apollodorus of Damascus, which gave them expertise in the architectural arts, but this is rarely mentioned.
13. Ignoring the achievements of the ancient Arab Canaanite civilization, and wrongly attributing them to the Romans, is against historical justice.
