Jupiter ۔۔۔ If there is one entity in the vastness of the universe that has surprised humans the most after the Sun, it is Jupiter, which is the largest planet orbiting the Sun. Due to its size and power, it is often called the giant king of the sky. If the Earth were to be compared to Jupiter, about 1100 Earths could fit inside it, but the amazing thing is that this planet is mostly composed of gases (hydrogen and helium), so it is impossible to stand on it like the Earth. Jupiter's most famous secret is its "Great Red Spot", which has been a great storm that has been going on for centuries. This storm is so big that three Earths could fit inside it. The surprise is that this storm has not stopped for thousands of years, as if Jupiter is a masterpiece of continuous flooding in its atmosphere. Its moons are also an example of their own. More than 95 moons of Jupiter have been discovered, of which Europa is the most interesting. Scientists believe that there is a vast ocean beneath its icy surface, which may be harboring signs of life. Similarly, Ganymede is the largest moon in the entire solar system, which itself looks like a small planet. Another amazing feature of Jupiter is its mechanical character. Due to its powerful gravity, Jupiter often protects the Earth from destructive meteorites and comets, as if it were a natural shield for our world. If Jupiter were not there, the Earth would probably be repeatedly hit by destructive fragments. Thus, Jupiter is not just a planet but a cosmic mystery, which tells man how complex, amazing and safe this vast solar system is based on.

کائنات کی وسعتوں میں اگر سورج کے بعد کسی ہستی نے انسان کو سب سے زیادہ حیران کیا ہے تو وہ مشتری ہے، جو کہ سورج کے گرد گھومنے والا سب سے بڑا سیارہ ہے۔ اپنی جسامت اور طاقت کی وجہ سے اسے اکثر آسمان کا دیو ہیکل بادشاہ کہا جاتا ہے۔ اگر زمین کو مشتری کے برابر کیا جائے تو تقریباً ۱۱ سو زمینیں اس کے اندر سما سکتی ہیں، مگر حیرت انگیز بات یہ ہے کہ یہ سیارہ زیادہ تر گیسوں (ہائڈروجن اور ہیلیم) پر مشتمل ہے، اس لیے اس پر زمین کی طرح کھڑا ہونا ناممکن ہے. مشتری کا سب سے مشہور راز اس کا "گریٹ ریڈ سپاٹ" ہے، جو صدیوں سے جاری ایک عظیم طوفان ہے۔ یہ طوفان اتنا بڑا ہے کہ اس کے اندر تین زمینیں سما سکتی ہیں۔ حیرت یہ ہے کہ یہ طوفان ہزاروں سالوں سے تھما ہی نہیں، گویا مشتری اپنی فضا میں مسلسل طغیانی کا شاہکار ہے۔ اس کے چاند بھی اپنی مثال آپ ہیں۔ مشتری کے ۹۵ سے زائد چاند دریافت ہو چکے ہیں، جن میں سے یوروپا سب سے دلچسپ ہے۔ سائنس دانوں کا ماننا ہے کہ اس کی برفانی سطح کے نیچے ایک وسیع سمندر موجود ہے، جو ممکنہ طور پر زندگی کے آثار چھپائے بیٹھا ہو۔ اسی طرح گینیمیڈ پورے شمسی نظام کا سب سے بڑا چاند ہے، جو خود ایک چھوٹا سیارہ لگتا ہے۔ مشتری کی ایک اور حیرت انگیز خصوصیت اس کا میکانیکی کردار ہے۔ اپنی طاقتور کششِ ثقل کی وجہ سے مشتری اکثر زمین کو تباہ کن شہابِ ثاقب اور دمدار ستاروں سے بچا لیتا ہے، گویا یہ ہماری دنیا کے لیے ایک قدرتی ڈھال ہے۔ اگر مشتری نہ ہوتا تو شاید زمین بار بار تباہ کن ٹکڑوں کی زد میں آتی۔ یوں مشتری محض ایک سیارہ نہیں بلکہ ایک کائناتی راز ہے، جو انسان کو بتاتا ہے کہ یہ وسیع و عریض نظام شمسی کس قدر پیچیدہ، حیرت انگیز اور محفوظ ڈھانچے پر قائم ہے
