پنج شیر" افغانستان کا ایک مشہور وادی ہے جو اپنے دلکش مناظر، بہتے دریاؤں، اور پہاڑوں کے بیچ خوبصورتی کے سبب مشہور ہے۔ یہ وادی دارالحکومت کابل کے شمال میں ہندوکش پہاڑی سلسلے میں واقع ہے۔
پنج شیر کا مطلب ہے "پانچ شیر"، اور اس نام کے ساتھ ایک مشہور روایت جڑی ہے کہ قدیم دور میں یہاں پانچ بزرگوں نے اپنی طاقت و بہادری سے ایک دریا پر بند باندھا تھا، اس لیے یہ وادی پنج شیر کہلائی۔
یہ وادی قدرتی وسائل سے مالا مال ہے، بالخصوص یہاں زمرد کی کانیں دنیا بھر میں مشہور ہیں۔ پنج شیر کو افغانستان کا زمردی خزانہ بھی کہا جاتا ہے۔

یہ وادی نہ صرف تاریخی بلکہ سیاحتی اہمیت بھی رکھتی ہے۔ سرسبز چراگاہیں، برف پوش پہاڑ، نیلگوں دریا اور قدرتی آبشاریں اسے سیاحوں کے لیے جنت بناتی ہیں۔
پاکستانیوں کے لیے سیاحتی ویزا تھوڑی تگ و دو کے بعد ملجاتا ہے لیکن پراسس تھوڑا مشکل ضرور ہے لیکن ناممکن نہیں،اگر آپ سیر و سیاحت کے شوقین ہیں اور پاکستان سے باہر کی خوبصورتی دیکھنی ہے تو افغانستان ایک خوبصورت مقام ہوسکتا ہے
